ADMISSION

 

1. BACHELOR'S DEGREE (4-year program)

Degree requirements: To be considered for admission to Nha Trang University (NTU), candidates must have satisfactorily completed high school or equivalent to Baccalaureate specified by the Ministry of Education (MOET).

Language: Vietnamese is the official language used in training for the undergraduate level. Those who apply for Bachelor's degree (level B or above) must have the Vietnamese language certificate issued by the competent authorities.

Document requirements: Applicants must prepare the following documents in either Vietnamese or in English

1)     A notarized copy of the High School Diploma

2)     A notarized copy of Academic Records

3)     A copy of CV or Resume

4)     A certified copy of Health Certificate

5)     A legible copy of passport and visa

6)     A certified copy of the Vietnamese certificate (level B)

2. MASTER'S PROGRAMS


Candidates who have obtained a Bachelor’s degree from a domestic university or independent college accredited by the MOET or from a foreign university or college recognized by the MOET, or having an equivalent education level can apply for admissions to the NTU Master’s degree programs.

Language: Foreign candidates must be fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing, and listening). A minimum TOEFL PBT 500 (paper-based test); TOEFL iBT 46 (internet-based test), TOEFL or IELTS 5.0 is required.

11)   A study plan

12)   A financial statement

3. PhD. PROGRAMS

Students who have obtained a Master’s degree from a domestic university or independent college accredited by the MOET, or from a foreign university or college recognized by the MOET, or having an equivalent education level can apply for admission to the NTU PhD. degree programs. Graduating NTU undergraduate students or students in NTU Master’s programs who satisfy the qualifications for the direct admissions to Ph.D. programs can also apply for admissions to NTU Ph.D. programs.

Language: Foreign candidates must be fluent in English (speaking, reading, writing, and listening). A minimum TOEFL PBT 500 (paper-based test); TOEFL iBT 46 (internet-based test), TOEFL or IELTS 5.0 is required.

IMPORTANT NOTES


- You should apply for admission as an international student if you are not a Vietnamese citizen or a permanent resident of Vietnam. Vietnamese citizens and permanent residents should complete the domestic application for admission.

- As an undergraduate you may apply for admission as a freshman or as a transfer student. You are a freshman if you completed high school and have not yet enrolled in a regular session at a college or university. You are a transfer applicant if you have completed high school and have enrolled in a college or university.

- All required documents should be scanned and sent electronically to the Department of External Cooperation at dea@ntu.edu.vn for pre scanning at least three months before admission (In Vietnam, the academic year normally begins at 5th September)

- If you are applying for Master's or PhD degree, you are advised to contact your expected advisors before submitting the application forms.
